Storyline

When the Parsis migrated from Iran, they brought along with them, a vast reservoir of traditions and knowledge to India, benefitting especially the dry arid region of Gujarat. The film is about a unique water harvesting system, at Parsi homes in Bharuch, South Gujarat. Following traditional methods of collecting rainwater, this system has a series of filters, which purify the water. In the film, we get a closer look into how the engineering of such a unique water harvesting system is done in their homes as well as the significance of Tanka in Parsi culture. Understanding their methods through this eye-opening film can help us to save water more efficiently and give more people access to clean drinking water at a time when the country is facing acute water shortages in various parts of the country.
